1. Pre installation inspection:
The newly manufactured gas turbine flowmeter is attached with adhesive tape at the flange inlet and outlet to prevent dust and other debris from entering. Before installing the flowmeter into the pipeline, the adhesive tape at the flange inlet and outlet should be torn off, and the impeller rotation should be checked for flexibility and stability by blowing air.
Before installing the turbine flowmeter, especially when it is installed on a new or repaired pipeline, precautions should be taken to clean any slag, rust, and other pipeline debris.

2. Installation position and direction:
Flow meters should be installed horizontally, and flow meters with lubrication systems should be installed with the lubrication bottle opening facing upwards. Gas turbine flow meters with a nominal diameter DN ≤ 200 can be installed vertically, but during installation and use, the airflow direction should be from top to bottom.
Be careful to ensure that the direction of gas flow is consistent with the direction indicated by the arrow on the case, as installation errors can damage the turbine flowmeter.
3. Requirements for upstream and downstream pipelines:
① A straight pipe section with a nominal diameter equal to the nominal diameter of the flow meter should be installed upstream of the turbine flow meter, with a length requirement of>2DN (DN is the nominal diameter of the flow meter); At the same time, a straight or bent pipe with the same nominal diameter as the flowmeter must be installed downstream, and its total length must be ≥ 2DN.
② The opening angle of the tapered or expanding pipe upstream of the inlet pipe for gas turbine flow calculation cannot exceed 30 °.

4. Other installation requirements:
① When installing a gas turbine flowmeter, a sealing gasket should be added between the flange and the pipeline flange.
② Install a bypass pipeline on the flowmeter installation pipeline to facilitate maintenance of the flowmeter without affecting the normal flow of fluid.
③ It is strictly prohibited to directly weld at the inlet and outlet flanges during installation to avoid burning out the internal parts of the flowmeter.
④ The gas turbine flowmeter should be installed in a location that is easy to maintain, free from strong electromagnetic field interference, mechanical vibration, and thermal radiation effects.

5. Pay attention to the top summary of the matter
Installation details: Ensure that the installation position and direction are correct, the upstream and downstream pipelines meet the requirements, and the flanges and sealing gaskets are properly connected.
Operation specification: Slowly apply pressure and start to avoid impact caused by quickly opening the valve.
Maintenance: Regular cleaning and maintenance, pay attention to storage conditions, and ensure that the flow rate is within the recommended range for use.
Environmental adaptability: Provide appropriate protective measures to avoid the impact of harsh environments on flow meters.
By following the above usage precautions, accurate measurement and long-term stable operation of gas turbine flow meters can be ensured.
Our main products include electromagnetic flowmeter, turbine flowmeter, mass flowmeter, vortex street flowmeter, pressure transmitter, liquid level transmitter, and magnetic flap level meter.
