The balanced orifice flowmeter is a new type of throttling flow sensor developed based on standard orifice plates and flow regulators.
1. Working principle
The working principle of a balanced orifice flowmeter is based on the laws of conservation of momentum and mass when fluid passes through an orifice plate. When fluid flows from upstream to downstream, it must pass through an orifice plate, which creates a pressure difference. According to Bernoulli's theorem, pressure difference can cause changes in fluid velocity. In order to achieve accurate measurement, a balanced orifice flowmeter is equipped with static pressure ports upstream and downstream of the orifice plate to collect pressure signals. These signals can be converted and amplified by differential pressure transmitters to obtain corresponding pressure values. Based on the relationship between flow velocity and pressure, the flow expectation of fluid passing through the orifice plate can be obtained through calculation.

2. Main features
① High measurement accuracy: The balanced orifice flowmeter adopts advanced measurement technology and structural design, which can achieve high-precision flow measurement.
② Low requirements for straight pipe sections: Compared with standard orifice plates, balanced orifice plate flow meters have lower requirements for upstream and downstream straight pipe sections and are more convenient to install.
③ Low pressure loss: By optimizing the design and pressure measurement method of the orifice plate, the balanced orifice flow meter can reduce the pressure loss when the fluid passes through.
④ Wide measurement range: The balanced orifice flowmeter can measure the flow rates of gases, liquids, gas-liquid two-phase, liquid gases, bidirectional flows, as well as dirty media and slurries.
⑤ Good repeatability and long-term stability: The balanced orifice flowmeter has excellent repeatability and long-term stability, which can ensure the accuracy and reliability of the measurement results.
⑥ Resistant to dirt and not suitable for blockage: The porous symmetrical balance design reduces the formation of turbulent shear forces and eddies, greatly reducing the formation of dead zones, ensuring the smooth passage of dirty media through multiple holes, and reducing the chance of fluid holes being blocked.

3. Application Fields
The balanced orifice flowmeter is widely used in multiple fields due to its high precision and strong reliability.
Chemical industry: used to measure the flow rate of gases and liquids.
Food industry: used to measure fluid flow during production processes.
Pharmaceutical industry: Precise control of fluid flow is required in the pharmaceutical process, and balanced orifice flow meters can meet this demand.
Environmental protection industry: used for monitoring and controlling the discharge flow of pollutants such as wastewater and exhaust gas.
Energy industry: In industries such as oil, natural gas, and electricity, balanced orifice flow meters are used to measure the flow rate of various fluids.

4. Precautions
Before using a balanced orifice flowmeter, carefully read the user manual to understand the performance characteristics, installation methods, and usage precautions of the flowmeter
The installation position of the balanced orifice flowmeter should be selected in an area where the fluid flow is stable, there is no vortex or vibration, to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.
Regularly maintain and inspect the balance orifice flowmeter, including cleaning the orifice plate and checking the working status of the differential pressure transmitter, to ensure the long-term stable operation of the flowmeter.
Our main products include electromagnetic flowmeter, turbine flowmeter, mass flowmeter, vortex street flowmeter, pressure transmitter, liquid level transmitter, and magnetic level indicator.
