What is the difference in range between a vortex precession flowmeter and a vortex street flowmeter?

1. Range ratio
① The vortex precession flowmeter: Generally, the range ratio can reach 10:1, and some intelligent  vortex precession flowmeters can reach a range ratio of 15:1 or even 30:1.
② Vortex street flowmeter: The typical range ratio is 10:1, and some high-performance vortex street flowmeters can achieve a range ratio of 100:1.
2. Measurement range
① The vortex precession flowmeter: suitable for flow measurement in small-diameter pipelines (usually with diameters below 150mm). Taking the JKLUX series  vortex precession flowmeter as an example, the flow range of DN20 is 1.2-1.5m ³/h, DN25 is 2.5-30m ³/h, DN50 type A is 10-150m ³/h, and type B is 6-75m ³/h.

② Vortex street flowmeter: suitable for flow measurement of large caliber and high flow velocity. The common full tube vortex street flowmeter has a diameter range of DN25-DN300, while the insertion vortex street flowmeter has an inner diameter range of 350-1200mm. Taking a certain vortex street flowmeter as an example, DN20 measures liquid flow rates ranging from 0.8-10m ³/h and gas flow rates ranging from 5-40m ³/h; The DN200 measures a liquid flow rate range of 90-900m ³/h and a gas flow rate range of 480-4000m ³/h.
3. Effects of Applicable Media
①The vortex precession flowmeter: mainly used for measuring gas flow rate. When measuring gas, its range has certain limitations at different diameters, and it can also adapt well to small flow gas measurement.
② Vortex street flowmeter: capable of measuring various media such as gas, liquid, steam, etc. For liquids, there may be measurement accuracy issues at low flow rates, while for gases and vapors, their range can cover a wide range.
