What level of measurement accuracy can a thermal flowmeter achieve?

Generally speaking, the measurement accuracy of ordinary industrial thermal flow meters can reach ± 1% to ± 3% FS (full range). For example, in some industrial applications where flow measurement accuracy is not extremely high, such as general gas pipeline flow measurement, the accuracy of the thermal flowmeter used may be around ± 2% FS.
Turbine flowmeter
For high-precision thermal flow meters, after careful design, manufacturing, and calibration, their measurement accuracy can reach ± 0.5% FS or even higher. This type of high-precision thermal flowmeter is usually applied in fields that require extremely strict flow measurement accuracy, such as scientific research experiments, high-end medical equipment, etc. For example, in some scientific research experiments, precise measurement of small flow rates of gases or liquids is required, and high-precision thermal flow meters can meet their demanding requirements for accuracy.
Turbine flowmeter
In addition, some thermal flow meters can achieve higher measurement accuracy within specific flow ranges or for specific fluids through optimization design and algorithm compensation. However, in practical applications, due to various factors such as changes in fluid characteristics, limitations in installation conditions, and environmental factors, the actual measurement accuracy of the flowmeter may slightly decrease.
